How and when do I request an emergency appointment?

Emergency appointment requests are rejected almost every time. The most successful way to get an earlier appointment is logging into the appointment booking system each morning to check for cancellations. For this reason we do not provide guidance or help beyond this guide for emergency appointments.
Go to your account at usatravel.docs and click on "Make emergency appointment". Please enter "beginning of studies in the USA" as the reason and enter the date when you are supposed to be in the USA. If you have already booked a flight, please enter the flight details.
Please upload the following documents:
- 1st page of the I-20 with the visible Beginning of Classes.
- Confirmation of the paid SEVIS fee
- Your tickets, if you have already booked a flight.
It is also very helpful if your coach or someone from the university can send you an email with the logo of the university and confirm that you have to arrive at the university on a certain date.

Important:
You can request the emergency appointment a total of 5 times, after which you must pay the DS-160 fee again.
