Insurance plans have networks of preferred providers. In-network care is typically
cheaper. Out-of-network care may cost more and might not be covered fully. Often
schools will have a doctor’s office, like a GP, on campus. If you have purchased the
school’s policy, this will almost certainly be in-network. This location should be your first
option if you need to see someone. If your school does not have one, speak to teammates,
friends or ask coach for recommendations of where to go.
